Early Intervention
"AIDB is part of Alabama’s Early Intervention System. Services are provided to eligible children, birth to 3 years of age, at no cost to families. A complete developmental evaluation/assessment is given to determine the eligibility of a child. A child’s eligibility is determined when the child is diagnosed with a vision or hearing problem, a developmental delay of 25% or greater, or a medical diagnosis that puts the child at risk for delay."
"Early Intervention provides supports and services for infants and toddlers under the age of three who have a developmental delay or a medical diagnosis that can delay normal development, which can prevent the child from meeting developmental milestones. Early intervention supports and services focus on teaching the parents and caregivers ways to help the child learn and participate in everyday activities."
"RISE was started in 1974 to enrich the lives of infants and preschoolers – both traditional learners and children with varying abilities. Through early intervention and early childhood preschool services, children at RISE are equipped with the skills necessary to succeed in an inclusive school setting."
"This clinical report is designed to assist the pediatrician in caring for the child, adolescent, and family in whom a diagnosis of Down syndrome has been confirmed by chromosome analysis or suspected by prenatal screening "
"We support individuals and caregivers through scientifically and socially validated practices based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Our goal is to create a community of comprehensive resources that maximizes potential and cultivates acceptance through education and advocacy. We believe in compassionate, ethical, and effective care to enrich and equip each unique path."
"The Elderly and Disabled Waiver is designed to provide services to allow elderly and/or disabled individuals who would otherwise require care in a nursing facility to live in the community."
"Since 1949, our network of affiliates and partners has been committed to creating a world where people with disabilities can live life without limits. Through advocacy, research, education, and a wide range of resources and programs, we work to promote inclusion, independence, and opportunity for all."
